Sotomayor Says Supreme Court Ruling in Religious Discrimination Case Is ‘Perverse’

C’mon man, if you’re going to be condescending, at least do your research.

Your first argument is honestly not worth discussing because you make no notes of how all of those could apply to both religious and non-religious schools. If you are against the scholarships, that’s fine, but that’s not what is being debated.

Your argument about separation of church and state is also incorrect because 1) The ruling does not establish a religion, it treats all private schools the same and 2) The money is not provided to the schools, it is provided to the family and allows the family to choose the school.

The original comment author was correct. The scholarship does not benefit religious schools more than any other private school and no religion is given preferential treatment over another. Many generations of Supreme Courts have agreed with this, so to call the author willfully obtuse is also to call them willfully obtuse and, their political beliefs aside, I would bet on the Supreme Court justices being a lot better in this role than you or I.
