That sounds terrifying to experience, to be honest. I have personally been experiencing the crackling for about a year now.

It got particularly bad on my right side a few days ago. I could literally hear my left lung crackling, all alone. Usually it's both of them. Someone suggested I get checked for pneumonia as that could also be causing fluid in the lungs. Do you think that could also be a possibility? Regarding your question - none that I'm aware of.
