South Carolina governor signs abortion ban, prompting immediate lawsuit

I believe, if you read through these links, each provides at least one example, if not more, of a gun regulation/safety law that was challenged in court, with CA and NY going for the most restrictive laws. Some were successful, some not, some are still in limbo. Some sources also reference the overall approach, or issues with, bringing gun control regulation to the courts in the current environment (i.e. courts packed with conservative justices), which is why I also mentioned that the court packing issue is so important.

I suppose an argument could be made that D backed gun regulation laws are not quite so arcane as the laws passed by R’s on abortion. That, however, does not mean they do not serve the same purpose. I would also add, D’s aren’t pushing gun control laws right now, specifically because the court skews conservative right now. Which is why I added that the court packing issue is so important.
