SpaceX gives us a glimpse of its Mars base vision - One of the images shows the BFR, the massive rocket SpaceX is developing for deep space missions, while the other shows the BFR and what he called "Mars Base Alpha."

Something you fanboys don't get is I don't care about your tribalism and your cheerleader future talk. You always think it's "us vs you". How about it's just me, with my facts, against you, with your facts? No, no, but it's easier for you to dismiss it all because of the subs I've posted in.

No you got it all wrong. And by all I mean life. You got life wrong. The really good things in life like space exploration are about all of us together accomplishing a greater goal, not 'us vs you', not 'you vs me'. Not even short sellers vs Tesla. Certainly not your facts against whoevers facts. Life doesn't care about 'my facts'. Maybe it will take 100 years, maybe it will take 1000 years, but even if all organizations working on this fail, even if SpaceX ceases to exist tomorrow, eventually someone will succeed in making a Mars base. You and I will likely be long dead before something in the picture is possible. Perhaps we're lucky and we get to see the first human on mars. SpaceX is one of the few that may actually have a shot at accomplishing that.

Perhaps we are living in fantasy land about planets that are out there. Well, why don't you go back to your reality land that's all about numbers, graphs, quarterly results, and market caps. If you think that's what life is about, well, good luck with that. I'm sure with your brilliant insights you could simply short Tesla and make so much money to buy big flatscreen tv's to display numerical presentations of your money and have a huge house with lots of stuff you don't need to compensate for the void inside.
