In the spirit of Halloween - Paranormal or not, what is the scariest, creepiest or most unsettling experience of your life?

When I was in my late teens in the early 2000's I was living with my aunt for a short while. She still lives in the same house. It's an old Victorian house from the late 1800s or so.

I was always a little creeped out by the house, especially the third floor which is where my room was. My grandmother died In this house and my family had uncle who had passed away a few years prior's things stored in the only other bedroom on the third floor. It was a tall dark stair case leading to a narrow wooden hallway with only 2 bedrooms and now windows in the hallway. My cousin who lived there had told me on the anniversary of my grandmother's death the doorbell was malfunctioning and kept ringing all night long while they tried to sleep.(My mother also passed away in this house but that was after what I'm about to describe happened).

One night I was on the third with my girlfriend at the time and we were watching the TV on the floor with a blanket. It came to be later at night so I walked her all the way downstairs and outside to her car.

When I came back in and went upstairs the blanket that we had in the floor was now hanging on a nail over my bed. I had never noticed the nail but I assume it was there before this.

What I can't explain is how the blanket went from the floor hanging on the wall.

There was no one else in the house besides my aunt who was laying on the couch watching TV from memory. She doesn't move to fast and there is no way she ran up 2 flights of stairs and back and got on the couch in the few minutes I was outside.

Not particularly scary but to this day its something I have logical explaination for and I'm an INTJ so I am always looking for the logical explanation in all situations.
