My dad likes to play practical jokes all the time.

One time, it was like 5am and we were supposed to leave early to the airport to go visit family. There was a pretty strong storm and a huge tree limb fell in the yard.

My dad wanted to clear it out before we left, and it was still pouring pretty hard at the time.

I jumped awake because I swore I heard tapping on my bedroom window.

At the same time my door was being knocked on. So it was like knocking was happening at every opening in my room.

My mom was the one knocking on the door to wake me up to help my dad, and it was at this time I looked over and my dad was tapping and yelling at the window and holding a flashlight under his face like during a scary story.

My door made a creaking noise as my mom opened it, and she had just woken up so her voice was kind of crackly sounding, so it was like a zombie was entering my room.

It was the weirdest experience I've had after just having been woken up. It felt like it was Halloween, for sure.
