[Spoilers All] Red Lyrium, Dwarves, the Blight, Black City

I do love the theories that this sub creates, such as: * Dwarves had a hand in creating the Veil that separates Thedas from the Fade and that is why they have lost their connection, cannot dream and cannot cast magic. It explains the Lost Thaig as the dwarves at one point had magic. * Either the Blight was created in Arlathan with an experiment on lyrium by the gods in their eternal squabble for power, forcing the elves to create the Veil and separate the Fade from Thedas and place the city into the Fade as a form of quarantine and used the Dwarves as the "fall guy" or the Blight was caused by the creation of the Veil, some form of corruption as the world was never supposed to have this separation. The Blight has some unique properties including a corrupted form of magic that certain darkspawn use as well as the fact it seems to be guiding whatever it corrupts to the Old Gods, which other people have hypothesized to be elven gods. * The Old Gods told their worshipers to enter the Golden City, which is believed to be the lost elven city of Arlathan, said to have sunken into the earth and disappeared. We learn that elves were the ones responsible for its "destruction", possibly an experiment using red lyrium that went wrong (as we know the gods were fighting one another), forcing them to quarantine the city to the Fade. I'm betting only an elven god would know how to reach the city as normally it cannot be reached, if the Old Gods are Elven Gods then they could pass the knowledge to their servants. * The Old Gods are trapped and require help to escape (possibly trapped by the Dread Wolf). The instant they are found by darkspawn they are corrupted but also freed and we also know that red lyrium is a great source of power.

So perhaps some elven gods had a hand in creating the veil, creating the blight and using the dwarves as the "fall man" in order to gain their freedom and power after being locked away by the Dread Wolf.
