Prompt 1 Faustina Emilia Philippa Amell's first kiss was with a girl in the Circle when they were both fourteen. This happened at a time when the young Amell became obsessed with Orlais, especially Orlesian erotic books involving ladies and their naughty handmaidens. She was also feeling a growing bitterness and resentment over having been robbed of her rightful status as a noble lady, this coming on top of how much she was missing her mother, and losing herself in books and fantasies was one of the few things that could keep her mind off the pain. After weeks of flirting, Faustina finally managed to get some alone time with the girl in one of the corners of the library and it didn't take long before they were all over each other. The kiss itself was messy and awkward, it was obvious that none of them knew what to do, but also somewhat sweet, though Faustina didn't feel anything else than lust while doing it; she lost her virginity that same night. They continued to meet up like that until Faustina suddenly ended it and began sleeping around with other girls. She was always terrified of anything remotely related to emotional intimacy. A few years later, she would barely remember the kiss in the library, since rising to power in the Circle was her only concern. The first time Faustina really felt an emotional connection with someone was when she kissed Leliana during the Blight. Jeyna Hawke's first kiss came at sixteen behind the tavern in Lothering. Just a tiny bit drunk from her first drink ever, she felt brave enough to approach a pretty blonde girl she was having a crush on and despite a few embarrassing lines that would surely ruin all her chances, Jeyna ended up outside with her back pressed against a wall. Giddy and giggling as if she was six, she continued to praise the girl's hair or say things like "do you want to see what I can do with a bow?" until she found herself locked in a deep kiss that took her completely by surprise. The kiss seemed to last forever and when it ended, Jeyna was left breathless and slightly dizzy. The blonde girl gave her a second kiss on the cheek and winked at her before slipping into the tavern again. And that was it. Jeyna, still stunned from what she had just experienced, spent the next several minutes trying to regain both her breath and touch with reality, not to mention the ability to put one foot in front of the other. That’s when she became aware of little Bethany who had apparently witnessed the whole thing. Turning on the cocky smile that tended to annoy half the town, Jeyna walked over to her blushing sister and patted her on the head. “Yes, I know. Two girls kissing! How could that be possible?! The world is going mad!” the elder Hawke said sarcastically. Prompt 2 If Faustina was to ever see her family again, her mother would absolutely love Leliana the moment she stepped inside. After bonding over their shared passion for songs and storytelling, the older Lady Amell would probably be excited to hear the story of how the mage and the bard got together; it wouldn’t take long before the Orlesian was considered part of the family. Most importantly, Revka would see with a mother’s eye that Leliana is just the girl her aloof, Machiavellian, snarky, closet-romantic daughter needs. But none of this will ever happen, since Faustina hasn’t had any contact with her family since being taken to the Circle, and as far as she’s concerned she’s the last Amell. Leliana is all the family she needs. Leandra was a little worried when she learned that her eldest daughter was… spending time with a Rivaini pirate. Not that she was surprised, Jeyna had always followed her own path and never been the type to settle for traditional family life; Leandra gave up years ago trying to change that. She first met Isabela one early morning when the pirate was sneaking out of Jeyna’s room. What started as an awkward conversation, ended up with Leandra asking what plans the two rogues had for the day and telling the pirate that she was welcome to stay for breakfast, to the embarrassment of her daughter. In weeks that followed, Leandra sometimes asked how the two were doing, but each time Jeyna put up a big, unconvincing smile and dismissed it as “girly fun”. Though she trusted Jeyna’s judgement, she was concerned that her daughter was falling in love with a woman who wouldn’t love her back. Bethany’s first reaction was “Of course my sister is sleeping with Isabela…” She could swear that sometimes they were like two halves of the same whole. If Faustina and Jeyna ever met, the Warden would probably say something like “At least I and Leliana got to taste her before you did!” before stressing the difference between an Amell and a Hawke.
