I think there is more in this regard as well. In AMoL we learned that the Sharans have prophecies about the Dragon. Supposedly, Demandred "fulfilled" these (I don't remember all of them; the only one I do remember is "performing miracles without the One Power", which he was able to trick the Sharans into believing he was the Dragon by using the True Power). I'm pretty sure these are actually further prophecies about Rand, and that he will, at some point, go to Shara, and that the pipe wasn't simply a gift from the Creator; Rand has a full set of new Pattern-warping abilities. (In other words, I think Demandred "fulfilling" these prophecies was actually a red herring, and they haven't actually been fulfilled yet.)
