I’m not trying to be mean but I don’t think you paid close enough attention, they are there for 2 days not a week Avantika literally said earlier in the episode they are talking her boat while he mistake gets repaired. BEFORE they rolled terribly then that means everything they do they shouldn’t do because they are always one roll away from everything turning to shit. Also of course they were unprepared because they had no idea what the book said they just knew it was insanely valuable. Lastly they couldn’t do anything when they came him with the book they were woke up first thing and the morning and escorted back to the ship, there was no time at all to take the book to the plank king. I feel like your using hindsight to judge everything they did if that plan went of without a hitch and they got back and got that book to the plank king I honestly don’t think we’d be having this conversation.
