[Spoilers C2E84] Is It Thursday Yet? Post-Episode Discussion & Future Theories!

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

Since I've posted my nonsense

I love the ideas that the ziggurats of Ioun are the anchor points for Tharizdun, and that the cult of Schmecna (who?) weakened these points.

But we saw the Haha-Boy's chains broken by Oban. We didn't see The Caedogeist's seal released. I'm guessing that if we did, we would've seen a similar release. Broken chains. These monsters of yore are not infinite. They are powerful and few.

Maybe these champions of the betrayer gods were tent stakes of a sort. Releasing the very nature of anachronistic chaotic warriors of another eon is what gives Tharizdun the power he needs to break free.

Maybe the OLD MAGIC in the folding Halls of Halas that could calm an Astral Dreadnought were worth aligning with and Yussa torching the body was a waste of the single greatest resource the m9 had against the old gods making themselves new. Maybe these fiends were nothing more than a horn devil.

It's been a while since the world has seen this level of power. Except maybe those of Dunamantic origins.

It's been a while...
