[Spoilers E54] #IsItThursdayYet? Post E54 discussion & future theories!

I am in the same boat as you. There was a lot of half truths and shit with his separation from critical role and the drama he caused during his last episode and cursing out a fan it would be ...weird. It would just open the can of worms a second time about how weird it was handled and as a story thing especially "yeah you were gone for a full arc and the start of this arc....yeah".

Added to the fact he has his own off canon "spin off esc" Critical role show he is doing would just make things....weird.

The most i would think about this is maybe Orion and matt sat down and Orion was like "yeah shit was dumb a few months back do you mind me ending shit on my own terms with VM even though you did a bang up job given the awkward time it was. I am pretty sure matt would be ok with that and it wouldn't rub to many people the wrong way at Geek and sundry. But again there are still Tiberius fans to this day that want him to come back (i was before i knew the ugly truth) and they might get annoyed about being "teased" him coming back i am not sure.

All in all i don't think Orion is gonna come back because of how odd of a separation it was and how much he would need to be caught up on in character since he has been gone for like half the series at this point. Not to mention all his flaws about meta gaming and supposedly fixing dice rolls and pining for the "camera" need to be fixed for it to be enjoyable for everyone.

Or he could be tweeting about critical role and doing all these things to try and siphon even more of the critter fan base for this off shoot project Draconian Knights.

Who knows these are just wild assumptions i made with the little information i found i could be completely wrong i am just an observer after all.
