MUGI WHAT DA FAAAAK

And now back to our regularly scheduled programing:

  • "I get tired when I go out" Mio's an introvert confirmed. Not all that surprising if that's true.
  • So how did Mugi see Ritsu coming? Well considering how rich her family is I wouldn't be surprised if she received special self-defense training from ex Japanese SDF soldiers. This would also explain her super human strength. Unfortunately years of dedicated training has left her deprived of normal human interaction resulting in her eccentric personality. Or something like that. The point is don't fuck with Mugi.
  • This is my favorite K-On! OP. It goes without saying that characterization is probably one of the strongest if not the strongest aspect of K-On!, and I think this OP does the best job at that. Just that part in the beginning when all the girls jump and spin around show off bits of their personality. I also really like how this OP doesn't actually show them hanging out outside of their school. When everything's said and done what these girls will miss the most is just hanging out together everyday at this school. Musically it's not as hectic as the 2nd OP but I feel got more meat on it's bone than the 1st OP.
  • A literal moeblob
  • Ritsu's polo game puts mine to shame
  • Which VA do y'all think had the most fun voice acting their characters? I'm betting Yui's or Ritsu's
  • Controversial opinion alert: I never really cared for the strawberries on top of a cake.
  • Oh Mugi....
  • Poor Mugi, always getting left out of getting shipped physical contacts
  • Mugiworstgirlconfirmed
  • You know you've watched the Mugi Why video too many times when it sounds weird to actually hear the keions talk in that scene
  • Although this episode was pretty Mugi centric, it was this episode that confirmed Ritsu as my favorite character. On my first watch I think Mio was favorite for a while. But as the show went on Ritsu showed how big a role she fulfilled on the show. When she's paired with Yui she's as energetic and silly as she is; when she's with Mio she's Mio's frustrating, and yet loyal, friend; when she's paired with Azusa she plays the senpai, and as we saw when paired with Mugi she plays the straight man. Ritsu's always just fun to watch on screen, and a lot of my favorite comedic moments features Ritsu.
  • The 3rd OP/ED pair is definitely my favorite. Musically I think I like No Thank You best, and the ED video is great as well. Thematically both OP and ED does a great job setting the mood for the rest of the show.
