Yeah, I feel like they're doing an overly-literal reading of this quote:
“I was tired, Jorah. I was weary of war. I wanted to rest, to laugh, to plant trees and see them grow. I am only a young girl.”
They seem to suggest she wants something frivolous. But the phrase "plant trees and see them grow" also has a powerful metaphorical meaning, that she wants to see the end result of her actions as a queen. She doesn't want to just start things without seeing them through, which is a valuable trait for a queen to have.
To me her behavior in Meereen speaks to her goodness. This doesn't mean she can't be corrupted, just that it hasn't happened yet.
