Upon reflection, I’m tired of this season being catered to ‘casuals’ and Twitter fan accounts. We deserved so much more from that episode and I think that emotional distress everyone is saying they’re feeling is actually a sense of confusion and dissatisfaction. Years of build, mentioned since episode one and that’s it’s for the Night King? Arya is easily one of my favourite characters and if anyone was to kill NK she’d be a top pick, but that’s the thing, no-one should be killing him that easily. So many more main characters should be dead too but instead they’re going to let them all die to Cersei and Euron, and in that case I now hope Cersei keeps the throne because at least then it’s a realistic and badass ending.
