[SPOILERS] Princess Shireen

Yes, arguing against a misleading description, which is incorrect, is semantics. I made that clear when I pointed out that I wouldn't have questioned it had you said that D&D had said that George said it.

I think George definitely discussed the ending plans with them, and I think he told them about three major moments that were to come in the books. I don't think this automatically means that GRRM has confirmed that any of the moments we saw in the show will happen in the books. He has publicly discussed the Hodor moment, and how it will happen in the books. He hasn't given full details, but has said that there will be similarities and differences. (As he has said with most elements of the adaptation).

I think that all the characters and plots are on slightly different paths in the books than they were in the show. I think that most of the major events that do exist in both mediums are quite differently handled. Different people cause/manipulate situations in each version. I think that if George had made a comment about the event it would be worded differently than if D&D talked about it, as it often has been in the past. And that his wording would be enlightening to the situation. But he hasn't commented on it. And saying that he has is misleading.
