To be completely honest, I feel like most of his actions actually make plenty of sense throughout the series, and ESPECIALLY in this episode, accounting for the fact that well, he's not that clever, the whole story is pretty linear and well structured, my main observation is because of his "IQ", if the creators were skilled enough to design him that way, he does not navigate well around troublesome situations, he instead hits a wall and then has to apprehend the wall over his next few recalls to the checkpoint. This mental state negatively affects the viewing experience given that he makes really poor decisions, not based emotional outbursts, but rather how he expresses them, he could have tried a lot of different courses of action that would have allowed him to either explore his current state of enchantment (what can it do to him), as well as the "perks" to try to get through or experience certain difficult situations. In this last episode, he should have been open about his lack of skills and knowledge, and his ability to commit sacrifice and effort to better himself and his surroundings, but he instead ends up saying very little, but mostly petty talk that could have been opportunistically used to mention his struggles. I would have been pissed as well, and with Emilia nonetheless, given that she seems very difficult to approach due to her guarded personality, making them a terrible match, which might be much better if he was more gifted or perceptive and able to understand people himself, rather than just tooling around with emotes and connotations.
