TLJ is good as a stand alone film and awful as a middle movie in a trilogy was my takeaway. I feel so mixed and confused because I LOVE some of the risky shit they did in this and I like the whole arc with luke shitting on the jedi but like.... It's just too much at once, they could have split this into two parts; it had no time to breathe. It's kind of a shame because everyone was like "oh I just want this to be different and not another empire strikes back" "I want them to take risks" and like.... It does that. It almost feels borderline experimental for a star wars movie, but at the same time the marvel shit is tacked in. Just a bizarre star wars movie honestly
