Spokane needs a municipal fiber network - comcast is HORRIBLE

One thing to point out is that 5Ghz has a smaller footprint than 2.4Ghz. A lot of people do not know that. In a home with more than a single level, or over 1800 square feet can suffer significantly degraded service from the wifi access point. I do certainly in my IT consultations with clients, stress hard to hardwire as much as possible, and when you have an entertainment center (multiple devices clustered) to get a switch (NEVER use a hub, antiquated as all hell and can create problems) to hardwire all of those devices. The reason is wifi still has limitations of maximum channels vs reliability. Also consider changing your channel to reduce interference from the microwave. This is not normal to do or need to do but it may help you. Try channel 1, then channel 13. See which performs better. After that test, feel free to message me and I can help you further. For this issue, I am more than happy to do this consult for free. I hate to see people suffer through tech issues.
