Only, in order for Watchify to play seamlessly with iOS is to begin play from the Watchify app and then go to your iPhone app and it is synced.

If you begin to play music on your iPhone first, then open Watchify on your Apple Watch, then the current song doesn’t appear (only on the “Now Playing” feature), thus when you choose a song from the app, it will change the song currently on the iPhone.

So at least (from the few hours I’ve had today to play around with Spotify’s update for Apple Watch) through the official app it’s a more seamless experience. And can only improve.

I will continue to use Watchify too, but I soon hope Spotify releases updates to eclipse Watchify so the user experience can be a more refined one.
