The "we all know" you know pretty well is mostly nonsense, mate. Who knows? Only those around or some educated guys who actually care for the facts. Greeks never use the term "Macedonian" since for us and you, it's implied, but for the vast majority of others, it doesn't.

The Aromanians of Greece were the only ones we as Greeks accepted. They were Orthodox and even fought on our side. That's why the integration went perfectly good. But unfortunately, along the way they completely lost their language. These guys were pretty much actual Romanians. It's the reason if you start walking today in Greek or Romanian streets, it's two people that a little bit look alike. The only other group in this world, that again, a little bit looks like us, it's a few Southern Italians. Greeks didn't accept any other group since those "other" groups always tried to backstab us.
