Squatter's Rights Shouldn't be a Thing

Except MOST sensible people squat houses and buildings that AREN'T lived in precisely because they're aware of the fact that people would hate that, and if you own a building that you don't live in and don't obviously currently need and that building is empty while someone else is homeless, that person should absolutely have the right to take up the space they need to have a roof over their head and the basic safety that is otherwise entirely denied to them. I guarantee you a rich person won't go bankrupt from some squatters using one of their buildings.

Your examples are especially outrageous, but you're overlooking the fact that most buildings that are squatted are places that were previously emptied of the people that lived in there in order to make them into something fancier and more profitable for the owners. People reclaiming those buildings is right because of the fundamental imbalance in income that exists between squatters and owners.

Seriously, rethink your priorities. People over property.
