Squirting Is Just Peeing, Say Scientists | VICE

As a woman who is pretty tired of this whole "squirtmania" that's going on since a few years I have to admit this study is relieving for me in some ways.

I've never "squirted" and I was always under the impression from watching porn and having the feeling of having to pee during some ways of fingering that "squirting" is actually pissing and I have mentioned that freely in the past with a surprising amount of backlash. Quite a few guys were incredibly keen on making me "squirt" for god-knows-why and I always had to tell them that having an orgasm is more than enough and that I don't think women have to "squirt" to enjoy themselves.

While it's totally cool that society opens up to topics like this porn and the internet have created quite a pressuring environment in that case. "Squirting" is seen as some kind of achievement and women nowadays almost have to excuse themselves for not "squirting".

I'm glad I can put a small rest to this debate and when some guy comes along who thinks he has to prove himself by making me "squirt" I can safely point him to this study and ask if he wants a golden shower.

EDIT:

For anyone who insists that it is totally clear and odorless in contrast to urine: If you are well hydrated urine is not normally deep yellow and it also doesn't have a particularly strong smell (although that can differ quite a bit from the food you eat and from the time of the month for women).

I've yet to see a single "squirting" video that isn't completely indistinguishable from drinking a bottle of water and forcefully urinating.

Since this is the sience sub it would be cool to see some actual scientists take a closer look at the study and check its validity. I've read through it and it seems well done without pulling any punches! ( I'm not a scientist though :-D )
