Squishy stump

I've got a BS in physics so my bullshit meter is working decently, and my gut still tells me the heat death theory is wrong. Everything else in the universe is symmetric with very few exceptions (CP parity and all that) and it doesn't feel intuitively right that time isn't as well. I know that intuition is not valid in the physics world since the advent of quantum mechanics (though if you go through the history you can see how they logically got to each equation and it makes decent sense), but I'm not planning to write any papers, just figuring out how to get myself up sleep at night. I honestly do believe it's cyclical, in some part because I have to believe it.
