ARCA already has a superspeedway championship and a short track championship, but until now all you get is your name in the archives and a nice cash bonus at the end of the year for winning those. What is currently the Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge this year will be the Stock Car Challenge/Stock Car Invitational next year in which both ARCA cars and K&N cars can compete in. Supposedly NASCAR will recognize the champion of that short track championship as they would an ARCA or K&N champion, but I think the decision to make that distinction is still up in the air.

If they do choose to recognize that champ as they would any other series champ, the unofficial pre-SCC/SCI short track champs are Kyle Weatherman, Chase Briscoe, Austin Theriault and Sheldon Creed. It looks like it will probably be either Ty Gibbs or Michael Self this year.
