Tech Guy / Set Designer / Contract Reader for a small theater checking in (I did this for a small college theater while in school)

  1. The Bronze Medal; A magic group comes in with a trick where the guy sticks his hand through a plane propeller. While he is demonstrating the power of the engine to the audience he puts a piece of wood through it to show that it will actually fuck his hand up. The piece of wood gets jammed, everyone on headset is freaking out and telling him yo cancel the trick because that piece being stuck in there has jeopardized the safety of the piece of equipment he was using - he put his hand in, everything went great

  2. The Silver Medal; Every 6 months we would have a dancing group come in mostly young girls and a few guys of all age levels. One performance the host (owner of the dance studio) and her 2nd in command (her son) had a dispute backstage. Their microphones were still on and Dad the Audio Technician didn't mute their lines #Awkward

  3. The Gold Medal; we had a rat pack impersonator group that sold out the small theater but the older crowd was going nuts for it. We had to cancel the whole show because in the two hours these men were there they had damaged two chairs and set off the fire alarm smoking cigars indoors and the theater manager (my boss) was so mad he just told them to GTFO

Personal Sabotages

  1. RENT - I rolled an actors fake cigarette in dirt and drain water for being an asshole

  2. Moon Over Buffalo - I was begged by an ex to help them with the pallbearer scene when the girl dies- I showed up drunk to the first performance and then just stopped showing up

  3. I accidentally tore a corner off of a scrim

  4. Used to steal props and bring them to parties and make drunk dudebros wear them

  5. I did not get selected to be an RA so as a retaliation I would always pull cables in the projection booth when I knew they had an event so my boss would get furious and yell at the head of Res-Life
