It takes time, because after a huge downward move, there are still after shocks, land arge numbers of people trading on margin and leverage (betting for/against the crypto market) that have to play out. Then once that plays out, it takes time to consolidate buyers/holders/accumulators because they're uncertain if the fall has finished. As we go sideways for longer and longer, slowly ever more confidence builds that the foundation is getting stronger, with more and more people slowly buying in, then it starts to work up to a more vigorous move.
