Star Trek Discovery was the best worst Trek I've ever seen (Spoilers)

That's still not the correct statement then. He says they were farmed. And he never suggests his abilities aren't natural, it's just a confusing sentence.

Why are you such a frustrated person to call him my Frakes? Are you so arrogant you can't stop for a second of whatever previous anger you have about that to see my actual point? Of course they did that on TNG. 25 years ago. It's funny that a show that tries to be modern in every other way and cutting edge still relies on the shot ideas used 25 years ago. That's the point. You're uptight dude.

You missed another point, there are scenes with Tilly where she is an expert on brain function using advanced terms and knowledge that an engineer wouldn't have. See again, expert on whatever she needs to be. But that's not new to Trek. Burnham does it all the time with being able to recognize Klingon symbols. Like being able to instantly recognize a Klingon house factions symbol in one of the last episodes without studying Klingon symbols or ever having expressed knowledge in other situations
