Star Trek: Discovery Is Still Searching For A Premiere Date

Lol the fact that this has zero comments pretty much proves this show is never going to succeed. The thread on /r/television is nothing but comments saying its going to fail, comments on facebook, other websites, all say its going to fail.

CBS really fucked up from day one with this one.

First, its yet another prequel. Second, they are breaking every tried and true formula from previous Star Trek shows. Trying to sell it off as a focus on the First Officer is just weird, and doesn't sound like Star Trek at all. Star Trek has always been about a strong ensemble cast, focusing and developing all the main characters. Third, your every day viewer is going to have no idea about this show at all, because its not even on the fucking network. Something that Star Trek ALWAYS HAS BEEN. The fact that its on CBS All Access is not only going to alienate a lot of people, but it will also hide it from the general audience, effectively dooming the show no matter what.

I mean, absolutely nothing I've heard or seen about this gets me excited at all. The only thing we can really hope for is that this season of this new show is just a massive plan to sell off Star Trek TV to Netflix Amazon or Hulu. There it might actually be in hands that would treat the spirit of Star Trek as it should be treated.
