Hello, thank you for your time and your concern to hold this AMA for the community and the larger internet as a whole.
I've heard through the grapevine that behind the scenes the current situation has resulted from the following course of events:
Assuming the above is not true, can you please justify what makes you think as a company (or studio) that it is okay to ship a copy of the game to reviewers and influencers that has the costs of some of the most important purchases cost ~17% of what a normal person pays?
Assuming the scenario about 2 builds is true, it seems like your entire microtransaction/loot crate is actually a small economy. However the difference in your economy and a real economy is that there is no transparency and that you control all the levers. Further even if it is the game director or one of you that makes the final decision of the change in economy, it seems like the director would not have the qualifications to make such economic decisions.
Therefore it seems like the best "compromise" would be that if you are intent on continuing with the current system that there would need to be an expert in charge of analyzing your economy and providing transparency to the public. Would you ever consider hiring an economist for this "Janet Yellen" role and providing transparency to the economy such has the drop percentages and drop tables of the loot crates?
More importantly assuming the multi-Build scenario is true, what measures are you putting in place to prevent a) defrauding your customers and b) such "mess ups" in the future AND what is the ONE specific thing you plan to gain our trust back?
