[Star Wars] if Stormtroopers are so infamously horrible with their aim, and Ben Kenobi explains that the blast points on the side of the Sandcrawler are "too accurate for Sandpeople", how are Taken Raiders landing potshots on Podracers going around 400mph?

I think the fandom has some bias against storm troopers.

Storm troopers are incredible shots. When we see breach and board the Tantive, they are quite lethal. None of the dead rebel troopers transporting the rebel plans would say that the storm troopers can't hit a target. We also know they can take out a awa SandCrawler (no easy task based on the Mandalorian), grease ewoks, and managed to successfully storm Hoth Troopers of Echo Base.

We only think the standard issue trooper is worthless because we see them going up against Luke, Obi-Wan, Han, Chewie, and Leia- all exceptional people. Some of them have years of experience of dealing with imperial entanglements, and 3 of those characters have the force protecting them.

I think Storm Troopers get a bad wrap, just because they failed to kill a bunch of characters who have destinies tied to prophecies of the force.
