[StarCraft] How do Protoss reproduce ?

In the distant past, it was almost identical to human reproduction. The only differences were in how long it took for the child to be born, and some minor physiological differences between the species.

Protoss of the modern era can still choose to have children this way. And given their highly structured and rigid society, this might be how most children are born. Like how most things they do is an obligation and duty to their caste, having children is a duty (perhaps with a pre-arranged pairing) in order to make new warriors for the next generation.

However, given the level of their technology, it's also possible that Protoss on Auir before the fall used artificial methods to grow new warriors without all of the messiness and complexity of physical pairing. Artificial wombs could successfully grow a child born from the donated genetic material of parents (again, perhaps done because of duty), and then raised among countless others in a life of intense training and devotion.
