Staring can land you in prison as police crackdown on 'unhealthy sexual behaviour'

The only thing different between the UK and other countries is that the laws to prosecute men for things like this are present in the UK and not in other countries.

If this happened in the US, you'd find that the response would be much the same in the UK, except with some more political baggage and talk of the 2nd amendment mixed in. Ultimately though (as long as current trends persist), there would be no legal response mounted in response by hundreds to thousands of men and so such grumbling would be useless and these laws would be accepted as the new standard.

The UK is the canary in the coal mine for feminism and feminist laws but there's nothing preventing gendered laws like this in the UK from becoming commonplace elsewhere in other countries.
