Started this Autumn with archery and have few questions.

For (1) activities I enjoy "stumping" 1 on 1 with friends in the forest using blunt rubber points or judo heads, which is similar to "skate" if you're into skateboarding. You perform a trick and they have to perform it. You find a nice spot and pick a target as the opener of the game, like that tree stump over there. You hit it then they have to hit it. If they hit it, they then hit another target like that termite mound over there, and you have to hit your original target plus that termite mound. You have to hit that original stump, then that termite mound, then that fallen branch. And hit another and it goes on and on, but the game resets when either one of you misses and you get the "S" attached to your name, then the "K" etc if you're playing Skate. You need at least a dozen cheap arrows each or maybe more if you're camping out and drinking beer and being festive

(2-5) sound pretty alien to me except for training your back muscles. Archery makes you use muscles that you'd normally never use for anything other than flinging sticks. Struggling to hold a draw sounds normal while starting but it gets better with practice. I like to hold a bow upside-down in the opposite hand and hold a draw as exercise if my right shoulder and left wrist get sore, like holding and drawing left handed as a right hander
