Starting Out in Vegas

City National Arena has an adult learn to play program for 6 weeks I believe. It is around $150 and would get you enough of a footing to go to stick and puck by yourself with drills to work on and possibly even get you in touch with some folks who could point you in the right direction for adult leagues/beer league. I want to say they give you 5-6 passes to free skate as well when signing up.

I'm in the same situation as you and still need to buy my pants/girdle and helmet, but looking to start playing recreationally for hobby/exercise. Playing roller in the street and skating at Crystal Palace and the Fiesta are about the extent of my hockey history, but never really had the opportunity growing up because of cost.
