Stat roll concept for tougher but more rewarding campaign.

The reason I don't care for standard arrays because it's boring and predictable. Okay so we put the 15 in the primary stat and if that stat is not dex then we put the 14 into dex. If the 15 went to dex then the 14 goes to con, otherwise con gets 13. 8 goes into whatever stat is the least useful for the build which is usually intelligence if you're martial character and strength if you're a caster. And the 10, 12 and possibly the 13 If it already hasn't been placed into con goes into the other stats that are not necessary for the build.

Predictability in a game based around dice rolls is boring not just for me before all of my players and that's why We introduce new challenges and concepts for each other. We have never used standard array in my group in the 3 years that we've been together and No one has ever suggested it because none of us want to do it. We've always done dice rolls Because it allows for crazier builds. Anytime one of us gets a 6 for a stat We play up that deficiency in our role playing to allow hilarity to ensue.
