We had an exchange student come live with us from Mexico starting in mid January. She’s never been to the US and has never seen snow. She arrived in mid January during one of the Wednesday snow storms (I know, I probably need to be more specific). We kept telling her “don’t worry, the snow always melts right away and the sun is always out during winter!” But that just hasn’t been the case this winter. It’s no big deal as she still loves it here but we just keep joking about how dumb we sound since every week we’ve been like… Ok I’m sure the snow won’t stick around and it will be warm enough to go on some nice walks or hikes soon!!
