People who employ the undocumented don't generally do so as a kindness. The undocumented work cheaper and have no legal protection against abuses such as unsafe working conditions, unpaid overtime, wage theft, sexual harassment, etc. The difference is so significant, if we gave all of them full amnesty and citizenship tomorrow, there would still be demand for more undocumented workers the next day.

In fact I suspect those undocumented workers who received amnesty would be the first ones replaced, since they have the same deficits in English and education and training as a new undocumented worker, but would have full protection of the law. Why not hire the same skill set without all the hassles?

What a fucking moron. You give all illegals amnesty and citizenship ... and that eliminates demand? No .. you're eliminating the supply. Demand for cheap labor is still there. The demand will be filled again in a matter of years ... then what? Give illegals amnesty and citizenship all over again?

Mind you I don't really care about the particular issue I'm just pointing out how logically broken and pathetic the comment was.
