One place a few hours drive from me is holding their Friday night "all styles practicum." Basically a social with a lot of music and dance variety. But you have to bring a partner, no rotating, and wear a mask. I haven't been there.

While there are no official events that feel like normal, I still manage to dance with friends at least one evening most weeks. We go to places that have live music; sometimes indoors, sometimes outdoors. We stay near our table so we don't have to wear a mask. Or we go to a place that doesn't enforce that rule. It's not always the same people; we're not forming a bubble or pod.

Not all of my extended dance community participates, it's just some of us that feel life is meant to be lived. Surviving by hiding in fear isn't life. And for some of us, the isolation expected of us would kill us.

We all have to go when our time is up. There's no point in surviving if you aren't living.
