The comments on their are atrocious. One comment left by this person who goes by the username sheepeople in reply to user Mens Rights Movement caught my attention. I will lay it our for you.
Mens Rights Movement: Sexist remark by the judge.... I challenge the judge to ask the same question when a male teacher and female student is involved. A boy rape victim is not to be humiliated merely because he belongs to slave gender.

You can't equate one aspect of gender bias while ignoring the other. In our society of fake posing champions of "fairness", evening the score of wronging doing, as apposed to righting the wrong, is completely overlooked.
You live in a society where morons utilize law to "get even". Indiana's "Religious Freedom" law is a perfect example of this. They sought to create a law to continue to marginalize gays and lesbians because they new the SCOTUS was about to rule in favor of same sex marriage. Now here you are wanting a female teacher to go to prison just because male teachers have gone to prison for having sex with 17 year old female students. When in reality the law applied to an 18 year old having sex with a 17 year old puts the 18 year old in jail also. Fact is the judges are there to consider each case on the merits. When 18 year olds have gone to jail over this law, it is because of ideologues like you. When the law is carried out based on "the damage done" and that damage is purely based on the scorn young women are unfairly handed down, then whose fault is that a female teacher created less harm because the male student will receive less scorn? It is the male ran societies fault.
Now, in this day and age of fake liberal pages like Alternet, posing frauds like you want to increase the damage done, increase the scorn. Subject young men to live with the guilt that the sex they had with their teacher resulted in her not just loosing her career, she lost her freedom for 10 years or more?
It is a male dominated society, in male dominated school systems that lays scorn on females for having sex and pats on the back the young men who do it. Young men 17 years old don't need to be tricked or pressured into sleeping with the teacher the whole community applauds for her talents of seduction. You can't have it both ways. It is the men who love the spectacle of seduction, it is the men run the judicial system, it is the men who reward the prowess of men and scorn it in women.
(see link below) Here we see the whole school, the whole community applauding the seductive talents of this teacher. The students look up from below the stage, her skirt spun and jerked back to rise. No one scorns her, they applaud her, the parents and teachers alike.
I suppose the self anointed spokesmen of "Men's Rights" are going to demand the male dancer should be allowed to wear a skirt and flash his junk too? No they are not. That would be absurd. Are they going to demand puritan laws just so they can create a convoluted equality? Probably. Fact is it is a men's ran world that makes it logical for the female teacher to receive a lessor penalty than a male teacher would.
