Staying with a (foreign) friend in Beijing using the 72 hour transit visa for a weekend. Register with police?!

The z visa only allows you to enter China for the propose to get your residence permit and it's only valid for 30 days.

Wrong. You get a temporary residency permit upon entry AND THEN you apply for a work z visa, which should only a couple of weeks.

And you will need your degree certificate (you...are a college graduate, yes?), a signed contract and criminal background check. A clean one.

I'm very legal in China

They why are you deleting your posts and comments saying you're already in China and asking about getting a visa for part-time jobs?

and there are no restrictions to getting a work permit/residence permit in terms of hours and salary.

Wrong again. a Work Z visa is for full-time hours only, where you sign a contract that prohibits you from doing extra work outside that job.

I said it before, the only time you can work a few hours a week is if you're a performer or on a business visa.

Foreigners are allowed to 100% own companies in China.

Even more wrong. The only companies you can own in China is if your business is registered in your own country. Foreigners cannot own companies in China without a native partner.

KFC in China? That's a franchise. Apple? They (used to) contract the factory work out for parts.

It's an authortarian country that wants full-control of it's own dominant economy. They're not going to let foreigners 'own' companies.

You can invest money into a company with an agreed return but it won't be registered under your name.

By the way, have you set up your bank account back home so you can transfer money back and forth? No?

Do you even have a bank account in China? Oh, wait. You need permanent residency permit for that.....

You're an English teacher? Maybe work on your reading skills. I clearly stated that I have a residence permit/job in China but I'm looking for something with lower requirements/pay because I don't need the money.

I deleted my post because I got tired of getting pm from recruiters asking me if I wanted to work 30 hours a week because their reading skills are on par with yours.

Foreigners are allowed to 100% owned companies but the taxes are much higher than a Chinese national owned company. On top of that, just for your information - it costs very little to start a company in the US.

Also, I don't need a z visa - that visa is only to enter China, I just need a residence permit transfer from one employer to the next. The law doesn't have any requirements on salary/hours. You can sign a contract for 1 RMB for 1 hour a month and they'll still give you a work permit.

You have no clue about China past reading Reddit. You sound to me like one of the many foreign ESL teachers that hate China but know that they can never find a job in the West or find any better jobs than teaching English somewhere in Asia. Not my fault your life is so sad.
