this probably won't help with the mobile app, but if your wiring is relatively new you can get ethernet over power. (I'm not necessarily recommending the one I linked, it's just an example).

I haven't had to use it, but I have heard some people have success with it, especially in areas where their wifi reception is just shitty.

Also based on your original response with the controllers not working, that doesn't sound necessarily like a streaming issue. If you could still see/hear the game and just the controllers stopped working there are a lot of other possibilities. you had 3 controllers connected to one phone?
