Personally, I don't like the idea of cutting off ties with China. I think it is a good thing that the NBA/basketball connects Chinese and Americans together and have common ground. I'd rather be talking and interacting with them than not, however, I understand your point.

We just need to know where the line is, and Silver is doing that very well. If a player or whoever wants to support Hong Kong then they are free to say that. Only Silver can speak on behalf of the league. If China doesn't like what someone says, sensor it in China not in the US.

But, LeBron and Kerr criticizing Americans who promote democracy is insane, imo.
