[Steinhart] Finally bought myself a real watch..

So some time ago I started becoming interested in watches an an actual hobby. I've owned a few Bulova pieces over the years, and loved Accutrons, especially after watching Mad Men. I absolutely loved the sweeping hands and the tech behind it. Though I know Accutron II doesn't have the tuning fork technology, I still thought it would be pretty neat to have one. I was planning on buying one at Macy's when friends and family rolled around, but in the meantime I started looking at other watches, the most popular ones here included. Now I'll admit upfront, I don't like Seikos. I just don't. The amount of Seikos on this sub doesn't help that either. However, I do love the Speedmaster, I think it's a beautiful watch with a nice history. I've started seeing a few of them in the wild. But that would take a bit longer to save up for. I love rolexes but that would take even longer. Suddenly, bam. I hear about Steinhart. I fall in love with the Ocean 1 Black. It looks like one of those cool rolexes! Then I start learning more about watches in general. It's pretty much a cheap Submariner. I start having second thoughts. When the time comes and I buy an actual Rolex, would I feel shame about this one? Then I learn about the OVM. Why is the lume such a weird color? It looks just old, I think at first. Plus, the no date bothers me. I considered OVR for this reason but ultimately started liking the unique sword hands of the OVM. Plus, I read about the history behind it: the MilSub's rarity and unique look. Not only is it $100,000 give or take, you're lucky if you even find one! The watch really starts to grow on me. It's a pretty unique design in general, and it's an homage to an ultra rare watch. I definitely start thinking of buying one from Steinhart. Unfortunately, however, they take forever to ship sometimes, and it's a pain to pay €30 to ship it to the US. Very luckily a user here mentions they have one for sale, and it's a very fair price too! Long story short, the watch is in pristine condition and I couldn't be happier. This is the first watch I've really splurged on, and I'm glad I did.

Planning on getting a bond nato: I realized the Spectre sea master has hour marks of the same shade of yellow/tan(?) so I think it would go great with one.
