When I was younger my step-father had a lot of control and anger issues. I have a lot of stories.

When I was about 3 or 4, my mom had just finished cleaning the floors and I walked through the house with my shoes on. Sand everywhere. I just remember her seeing the sand on the floor and just breaking down in tears and leaving the room. He called me a little bitch and made me stand in the foyer for half an hour. I almost wet myself.

If he lost something in the house he would come into our rooms at any time he liked without knocking and start going through our drawers and closets blaming us for it and leaving a huge mess that we had to clean up.

He more then once told me we weren't as smart or capable as his sons are.

He forced me to participate in activities I didn't like, like baseball and fishing even after I tried it and told them I didn't enjoy it. Once after telling him that he called me a brat and said if he had his way he would choose to only have my sister live with us. She was his favourite because she actually enjoyed the things he enjoyed.

He went to anger management and counselling for years, but he made my childhood miserable so we have a very strained relationship. And I also have a very strained relationship with my mother for putting us through that for years before forcing him to get help.
