[Steph Curry]: I’ve only watched the game [Game 7 of NBA Finals] twice. I only think about things I could’ve done differently to help my team win, knowing I gave everything I had and obviously came up short. I want to try to redeem myself.

yet Curry's legacy was unarguably most affected by his.

It don't think it's that. It's that his "legacy" was being talked about by people on here as if it were already cemented in top-20 status when he has only been on an all-time great level for two years (now three I suppose.)

People are only focusing on Curry's last two seasons, but the reality is when he retires - people aren't going to have tunnel vision and focus on just two years of an entire career, they'll look at his overall body of work and he reached his "prime" pretty late. And on top of that, he's a one-dimensional star. I'm sorry if that offends you, it probably will and I'll probably be down-voted for even saying that, but he brings one thing to the table and that's his scoring (and he does it extremely well), but there are far more complete players in history.

So it's not his finals performance that's the only thing affecting his legacy, that's like saying he's a perfect player otherwise who would be remembered as an all-time great if it weren't for last year's finals, which is a very dense perspective to have.
