Stephen Colbert Brilliantly Mocks Lifestyle Branding

I JMillerworks, think you're being a bit pessimistic. I do some great videos critical of advertising on my youtube channel jaistar2k22 as well as video games lets plays and music but ultimately it's about connecting people with the information they need at the right time in a way that's organic. For one example my gaming app

Ultragamr(https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/ultragamr/9wzdncrdgdcg) [also available on ios and android]

is a one stop reader for gaming news from ethical sites written by pros, no kotakus or other bullshit to be found for those into that sort of thing. they are where I go and available to you!

Another example My top blog on wordpress jmillerworks.com is entirely devoid of advertisements bringing the latest juciest news and drama in gaming, celebrities and music and is entirely supported through content I write about products I actually use and support for example: (http://jmillerworks.com/2015/06/19/friday-signature-scents-6192015-jimmy-choo-for-men/)

That's actually how I met my girlfriend who by the way if you want a box of jewelry tailored to your taste sent straight to your door each month? @rocksbox will give you that and more! Use my #RBitGirl code ALLYSSABROWNXOXO and get one month completely free! #models , #designers, #muas, and #fashionistas this is the service for you!

and together we are able to combine and explore new ideas not a lot of people are doing, you don't see many game reviews by or with women(who are awesome and not horrible) like when she came on the Bayonetta 2 review, or even handled our podcast for a hilarious april fools switcheroo or helping me review men's fragrances, as well I extend into her fashion brand and you can read my comments and thoughts on fashion week as well as some hilarious quips that frequently make it into /r/blackpeopletwitter.

But even better than that we did a brand extension into a lifestyle brand for couples J&A plus you can follow either both of us on instagram separately or the @JandA account to see what we enjoy together, food, clubs, shopping as well as find great deals on everything from 1-800-flowers.com costco, we're going to be doing a lot of home improvement and housekeeping stuff soon plus wedding, then maybe 10+ months down the line launch J&A+bae where we'll be giving our expertise as first time parents.

Then when they are old enough they can handle Miller ego a lifestyle brand for tweens, and there will be years worth of Vines until they are old enough to learn to drive and can join me on Project D, my current channel for street racing and cars until they learn the ropes to handle Jmillerworks proper.

Then I'll launch my final brand, Miller retirement, about golf, travel, gifts for the grandkids, ED medication & I suppose the kids will be doing the tweets promoting the funeral home and caskets we use.

Man this was supposed to be a joke as I actually am in advertising besides the side hustles but that got dark. It's a grim reminder that it doesn't matter how many followers you have, how much you get comped, what you receive for free or get to experience (by the way Calling all singers & rappers of all ages. Your chance to perform live during the BET Hip-Hop Awards Weekend. Sign up here http://www.idevaffiliate.com/32641/idevaffiliate.php?id=297)

we all end up in the same place, so none of it even really matters. Its about the time we actually spent with the people we love and what we leave behind that matters. Doesn't matter, rich or poor, $85 dollar napkins, or spitting on your hands, five star restaurants on instagram everyday or pot pies from the freezer God will cut you down one day and everything in you get is only good for driving your ego. So struggle for a good life more than you stuggle for materialism.

Frankly nobody is living the lives you see on social media. It's just another stage for performers. Even the Kardashians have 17 million problems they wouldn't dare post, Jenner's body dysmophia probably the least of it. Hell just think back to when Kims supposed best friends treated her like this(http://www.bustle.com/articles/47230-15-times-paris-hilton-was-the-boss-of-kim-kardashian-in-case-you-forgot-who-invented) If it were regular we wouldn't take pictures of it. I didn't take a picture of the time I had to be chewed out about eating nothing but protein shakes and superfood to maintain an unrealistic physique, nobody is taking pictures of when they are behind on bills because they HAD TO HAVE the latest whatchamabob. You'll never see a rapper tweet "I REALLY SHOULD OF SAVED MY MONEY NOW I'M BANKRUPT OWE TAXES AND LIVING OFF STATE FAIR SHOWS" I would never tweet "Despairing and feeling like a failure" or "I'm consumed with existential dread" before I would "poppin bottles again YOLO" but we know that's how everyones feeling and we capitalize on that to sell stuff to fill that hole but it never will. Not like family, owning yourself and finding your own happiness.
