Stereotypes are generally accurate

Well treating people differently is fine as long as you're not treating them badly. I'm a lesbian, my lesbian friends and I constantly joke about our questionable taste in fashion, liking sports, being masculine, and other stereotypes which apply to us. Some of them don't want straight people to know about, laugh about, or spread such stereotypes, the rest of us don't care, because, well, they are true. This is observable in all milieus. That's why I decided to relax about other people's as well as my own stereotypical outlook onto life. And it's proven efficient. I guess people respect honesty, and like to feel understood.

One of my most mind blowing experience was with bisexual friend she of mine. They obviously do not appreciate the stereotypes about bisexual women being unable to settle for just one sex. But whenever I've asked them about missing one sex while with another, they ended up confirming that they did feel that way, because I was coming from a place of kindness and I was willing to understand their experience
