Steroid Saturday

Morning Gents, I'm going to be starting my first cycle in the next couple of months. I've been training (natural) for a little more than 10 years, I'm 29 years old. I'm fairly happy with my size, I'm around 220 at ~15%, but to put this into context, I'm 6'5", so despite pushing 1000lbs on the leg press I'm still falling into skinny jeans category. I don't mind having a slender, muscular physique, but when I did my first serious cut a couple of years ago (to ~8% bf) I turned into a "skinny guy", and could hardly recognize myself. So I went back to my normal non-lean form and have been training hard since to try to find a way, but I think I'm reasonably close to my natural max (at least, as someone who isn't willing to put more than 2 hours a day into workouts).

So my objective with AAS is to gain enough size to maintain my current proportions, but at a lower body fat level. I'm intending to do a 12 week cycle of Test-E including a 6 week run of Dbol to start with - and because I'm only needing 20-30lbs to get where I want to be, I'm thinking I'll only need 1-2 cycles to achieve where I want to be. Right now, I'm busy dieting down to my "skinny guy" so I have a more lean physique while on-cycle.

Of course, I've done a lot of reading over the years and far more intensely recently (since I decided I needed to consider AAS to reach my goals). I have a couple of questions that remain unanswered - or, at least, I remain unclear on.

  1. I understand your hormones 'never go back to normal'. What does this mean? I'm very happy with my current testosterone levels (they're good). After completing PCT, what should I expect when comparing pre- and post-cycle?

  2. I know everyone says 'you never do just one cycle'. Addiction psychology aside, if I did just do one or two cycles, what would my natural state post-cycle be like? My hope is to get a 'boost' which I can hold onto through continued training intensity. Would I retain any of the mass gained from the cycle, or would I return completely to my pre-cycle natural mass?
