Steven Universe is nominated for the Kids Choice Awards

WINNERS OF FAVORITE CARTOON KCAs 1988-1990: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Nickelodeon 1991: Tiny Toons Adventures from Warner Bros. Animation 1992-1995: Doug from Nickelodeon 1996-2001: Rugrats from Nickelodeon 2002: The Simpsons from FOX 2003-2007: Spongebob Squarepants from Nickelodeon 2008: Avatar, the Last Airbender from Nickelodeon 2009-2015: Spongebob Squarepants from Nickelodeon

This is important WHY? The owners of the shows of course! You could just look at it and say "Nickelodeon rigged it because Spongebob won that many times..." but there's more to it. From 1988-1990, Teenage Mutant Ninjas Turtles won. Naturally. It was the darling of the network-and the kids who watched it making it an EASY pick for the network to boost its popularity. Then in 1991, Tiny Toons Adventures won. That's odd. Why did TMNT suddenly stop winning? Because in 1991, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was given to CBS. And there's more.

What won after Tiny Toons Adventures? A show called Doug, originally on the lineup for Nickelodeon and considered "mediocre" in terms of ratings and reviews. It was nothing special, just another Nickelodeon cartoon. But in 1996, Doug lost to Rugrats. At that time Rugrats wasn't doing any BETTER than Doug, and nothing was really changing...except for one thing. The acquirement of Doug to Disney in 1996. The winning of the Simpsons on Fox? Fox and Nickelodeon have been working together on a lot of things, and during the 1995-1999 period they were working together to make films based on the original mediocre cartoons of Nickelodeon-so it makes sense that The Simpsons would have won. Avatar was in its last season-and after it won the KCA nomination, the viewer count actually raised for all subsequent episodes, capping at 5.59 million for the last four episodes, which was more than the majority of the Spongebob episodes for that season. Afterwards, Avatar ended-and Spongebob was back on top. And that is why there is absolutely, positively NO CHANCE that Steven Universe will win. None. I don't even think ANY of Cartoon Network's shows-or any other show for that matter-have a chance.

And that was my first Reddit post. It took me 24 minutes to find evidence on and write.
